Your 2 Tier Steamer, manufactured from re-generating Bamboo, allows you to steam both fish and vegetables plus numerous other Chinese dishes the traditional way in your own kitchen. Simply pour a little water in the base of your Wok and then place your Steamer into the Wok so that it rests on the sides but above the water level, when heat is applied steam will develop and be given off which will cook your food to perfection. An added bonus with your Swift Spice Steamer is that, unlike cheaper alternatives, it is held together with Bamboo Twine rather than metal staples which allows it to be used in a microwave. This 20cm lidded saucepan / steamer set is made from stainless steel where the outside is half polished mirror finished stainless steel while the bottom half is a satin brushed finished giving an unusual and distinctive look to the pan. The pan has two stainless steel handles (one on either side) but covering the middle section of the handles is a silicone cover. This helps reduce heat transfer making the handles safer to touch. The silicone is of course in Hell’s Kitchen red. As well as the handles containing the safety properties of silicone they are also riveted to the pan for extra strength. Some pans have handles that are spot welded to the body of the pan, although these are suitable for use, riveted handles are much stronger and are less likely to experience problems. The lid is polished, mirror finished stainless steel, again with a riveted, silicone handle to match and complement the handles on the pans itself. The steamer fits inside the saucepan and has handles which match those of the saucepan. The lid fits both the saucepan and the steamer. A good quality, well made, good looking pan that will look great in your kitchen and will be great to use.
